| RESEARCH INTERESTS |
The main research interests concern the petrology and mineralogy of gemstones-bearing
pegmatites and of the hosting crystalline basements. Special attention is devoted to minerals
containing light elements, rare alkalis, HFSE and Y-REE. Petrological researches include
trace-elements-geochemistry and isotopic-geochemistry.
The main studied localities are: Neoproterozoic pegmatite fields in central and south Madagascar;
Mesozoic intermediate to alkaline intrusives in Malawi (Zomba-Malosa massif);
Tertiary pegmatite field in Elba island (central Italy); Hercynian South-Alpine granites and pegmatites
(Baveno and Cuasso al Monte plutons); Alpine granites and pegmatite fields (Bergell Massif, Adamello
Massif).

| MUSEOLOGY ACTIVITIES |
The main museologic activities concern: planning and relization of temporary and permanent exhibits
(mineralogy, petrografy, geology, planetary science); collections inventory, cataloging, preservation,
and improvement; scientific and historic researches; divulgation.
Special attention is devoted to the valorization of mineral specimens, (trimming, cleaning and
reparation techniques) and mineralogical certifications.
